The west end of Glasgow is full of brunch places and here are a few of my favourites.
Urban West, Great Western Road
Homegrown independent cafe established in January 2018, they offer all day breakfast, brunches, sandwiches and soups.
I've been a few times and absolutely love the place, as is the reason it is at the top of this list, although I haven't ranked the places. The eggs hebridean, eggs bennidict and full breakfast are all items on the menu I have tried and they are all amazing. The poached eggs perfect and all elements of the full breakfast amazing. Additionally, once when I went I tried the sweet potato soup which was to die for and I would highly recommend.
Overall, this little cafe on GWR has amazing food, coffee and a great interior with the cool indie style and open vibe due to the full length windows.
Kothel, Great Western Road
Kothel has two locations in the west end, one on GWR and the other on Crow Road. The cafe has a range of cakes, sandwiches and soups.
Only visited twice but both times the service has been amazing and food delicious, I ordered a bruschetta with pesto, mozzarella and salami and its very instagramable. The coffee was also delicious and a unique aesthetic inside. Its definitely a place to visit in the west end.
Partick Duck Club, Hyndland Street
Located just off of Byres Road the restaurant has an amazing brunch and dinner menu with some rather unique items but truly delicious food.
When I've been I've received amazing service and great food. Tasted a range of their foods including deep fried mac n cheese, eggs black, breakfast buns and the black bomber fries. Every time I have been I've had amazing food.
Stravaigan, Gibson Street
Only visited once and my have been slightly tipsy (oops). The restaurant is located on Gibson Street and is usually really busy during the evenings as a bar. The breakfast I had was amazing but also something found in almost all the restaurants mentioned above. For a classic brunch is somewhere I would recommend but nothing stand out.
CafeZique, Hyndland Street
Another amazing brunch menu with amazing service. The full breakfast is always of the highest standard ad although the french toast not my choice the one I tried there was amazing also. Highly recommend with the restaurant also having such a gorgeous design.
S'mug
More of a chill place for a snack in the west end with items such as toasties and soups. I love coming here for a snack and coffee while on campus.
